High Performance Chrome Plating Anode

When it comes to conductivity and corrosion resistance, the Spanode is in a class by itself. 

The purpose of the Spanode is to improve the quality of chrome plating and prolong the life of anode plating.   This high performance anode plate for chrome applications has been developed over many years of technological advancements to give it superior conductivity and corrosion resistance.

The Spanode is made from an ternary alloy of extremely pure lead and tin, in addition to a third metal. Through our special manufacturing process, the polished core is injected to create highly uniform conductivity distribution between the top and bottom of the anode plate for superior adhesion of plating material. The material appropriate for the application whether the bath is the conventional type, flouridated or high-speed, can be adjusted for high corrosion resistance giving it a long life. 

Spanodes are offered in a wide variety of types, allowing for selection of thickness and length to suit the item being plated, the size of the bath, current load, etc.

  • Using strictly highly pure lead/tin with an additional metal gives this ternary alloy properties that prohibits elongation of lead. 
  • Superior corrosion resistance with consideration given to the type of bath used whether conventional, fluoridated or high-speed. 
  • Through special manufacturing techniques, we insert a polished core for a complete adhesion between the lead alloy and core for superior conductivity. 
  • Even current distribution on both top and bottom of anode promotes thorough and even adhesion of plating.  
  • Many thicknesses and length options are available to suit your particular needs as far as parts being processed, size of tank, and current load.
